If there is a second pandemic, the US is going to be screwed. There is no plan other than to let it burn through the population while these jokers sell a healthy diet (i.e. all beef) and exercise as the cure. And maybe some unrelated drug that makes you poop yourself raw in a Walmart.

I’m a broken record on this, but again: Senate Republicans oppose nuking the filibuster because they believe the 60-vote rule blocks many more liberal goals than conservative goals in the long haul. Liberals have come to the same conclusion hence they mostly favor nuking it.

You might get sick of hearing this but if he keeps doing it I'm gonna keep saying it: this is an unconstitutional impoundment, violating both Congress' Article I spending authority and the 1974 Impoundment Control act, and immediately impeachable.

I guess he hasn't gotten to the part where the right harassed him mericilessly, won the congress in 1994, and impeached him in 1998. You can't take these issues "off the table." The right will pick them up and throw them in your face anyway.
Stephen Robinson@playtyperguy.com · 2w agoI voted for the first time in 1992 so it annoys me when pundits like Yglesias urge a Clinton/Gore model for success. First off, while Clinton/Gore were more conservative on some key issues than Dukakis (death penalty, welfare) they didn't openly promote regressive views on culture.
My main wish for politics is that people would spend less time fighting people who aren't the fascists literally destroying the country as we speak and more time fighting the fascists who are literally destroying the country as we speak.
This is why he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize

Free advice: you can (and should) criticize the morals and influence of groups like AIPAC and the Israeli government without using gross antisemitic language and tropes like asserting brainwashing or thought control. Be a better person.
He either refused to walk out with his counterparts as would be proper or they refused to walk out with him. I like to think it was the latter.
