I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

The 34-year old Japanese artist @lito_leafart has been living with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) his entire life. He discovered the Japanese art of kirie (切り絵, literally ‘cut picture’) and began experimenting, not with paper, but with leaves.

Created by Japanese artist Lito (@lito_leafart), this intricate piece of leaf-carving art (kirie) transforms a single green leaf into a whimsical aquarium scene.

Held up against a bright sky, the carved leaf depicts a group of visitors silhouetted along the bottom edge, gazing up into a vast underwater view. Above them swims a massive whale shark accompanied by a school of smaller fish, all meticulously cut out with astounding precision. Lito's creative process harnesses hyper-focus to craft detailed, narrative-driven miniature worlds, turning a natural canvas into a heartwarming piece of visual storytelling.

Just an appreciation post for the detail on the train cars for the New Texas Giant. I've been riding this one since the day it opened! I have yet to experience the new steel track, however. Before that it was quite... a rowdy experience. 😂 @sixflags.bsky.social

My artwork done for the @fiveofakind.bsky.social Zine. Please go and look at all the artwork! I basically wanted to channel the Koike/Manga Lupin a little more here. Someone also said that it reminded them of the I receive you receive meme, so I had to lean into that (and redraw his hands)

Too depressed to art, but brain and hands want to do things. Decided to learn origami since I know how to make stars and since I embarrassed myself in Hiroshima. Behold my learning.

Photoshop's AI features are looking into your images and flagging "inappropriate" content and then block features you paid for. #fuckadobe The OP might get flagged for sexual content on bluesky. If you have not deactivated filtereing (what? Why?), find the link in my reply below.

Photoshop error message saying, quote: "Although generative AI is on, we used non-generative technology to avoid inappropriate content on this result. Please view our guidelines and try again, or if yout think this was an error, provide feedback."The "result" of using the non-generative retouching tool as fallback for the generative (and paid for) tool.

This week I learned Photoshop can slut-shame. So I spent a video testing Adobe's moderation system, seeing what triggers it, and discovering that Photoshop may be judging my outfits harder than half the internet - youtu.be/sWcnBBrJ5cw

HELP! get our indie game to 60,000 wishlists!! Bad Magpie is: - a narrative adventure game with a densely packed open-world - full of cartoon logic and slapstick comedy - an emotional journey told without a single word of text or dialogue wishlist NOW and we'll love you forever 🫰

Wacom doing planned obsolescence with a "Thank you for your support" on their staggeringly overpriced products wasn't on my bingo card but I am UNSURPRISED. If you too are in this position, allow me to draw your attention to what's probably your best solution: opentabletdriver.net

So Wacom finally decided to pull the plug on my Cintiq 13HD. Kind of a barbaric move but I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to ensure continued support, either through a plugin or something of a similar vein. Any input would be appreciated.

They're going to try an experimental immunotherapy on dad. If it works, it'll be awesome, but then we'll have to explain why we held a celebration of life party for him and he's not gone o_o
