I disagree vehemently that an assault weapons ban should be ignored in favor of said generational work, but every other point he makes there is solid. Generations of conservative policy caused the problem. Only generations of progressive/liberal policy can undo it.
As a certified English teacher since 2009, *this* is what I call a strong arguable thesis. tl;dw: Guns are a symptom. Even the most progressive disarmament would target the most marginalized people, first and only. Prioritizing generational work toward social support is a better use of resources.

I'm planning moon factories powered by magical intelligent bipedal bunnies, and it's just as feasible.

@abdulelsayed.bsky.social triumphing over something like $60 million, $32-ish million of it AIPAC money, is not a "narrow" victory, it's a people's earthquake. This kind of spending is oligarchy in action, to smother democracy through its formal channels, and is getting normalized. Still he won.

I, too, plan for Moon factories powered by humanoid robots, but mine are cheaper and more efficient and have an equal chance of happening. Where's my speculative investor money?

SCREEN Act, which would have required mandatory age-verification for sites (like this) that allow "material harmful to minors" failed to pass out of committee after thousands and thousands of people called their Senators. More work ahead!
Tired of seeing voters go around them, Republican legislators in Missouri pushed a proposal to curtail citizen-initiated ballot measures, and asked voters to pass it. The gambit failed — by 60 points. www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...
In statewide ballot measures, Republican plans fall far short on multiple key issues
It’s not just candidates that the GOP has to worry about this year: The party is also suffering setbacks on closely watched ballot measures.
