queer game developer dude

Learned that I am being laid off from Heart Machine, and will be leaving the studio later this month. Do you need a contractor? I've got a track record of leading scope-friendly script revisions late in dev. I have also done a lot of consulting on new IPs and pitches/demos. Feel free to DM me!

One of the smartest games I've played in years. Sharp, funny writing and a brilliant realtime meets sokoban meets Metal Gear Solid setup that's like nothing else you've ever played. Time Bandit: it's a good video game for your personal computer.

if you missed it in the @queergamesbundle.bsky.social, my game Time Bandit is back on sale for 50% off on Steam! you have not missed your chance to be gay & do crimes, such as stealing from your boss and bringing down capitalism. in fact it’s never too late store.steampowered.com/app/1481910/...

I'm just going to say it. It's pretty well established that the fall launch window is really rough for game sales, and indie games in particular. Team Cherry surprise announcing the Silksong release at the last possible moment before then is thoughtless and actually harmful.

epic store's not great, the launcher sucks, etc etc whatever. but they did the math on what they needed to charge developers to line their own pockets plenty and they came up with 12% twelve percent steam charged 30 to every PC game for 20 years and see no issue here

The Rising Tide Challenge is now 🌊OPEN for public voting🌊 For the past month, thousands of indie devs from around the world have been working on concept trailers for their dream games. Now they need YOU to validate their concepts for a chance to win up to $300k in funding!

There are TWO Pokemon-like pixel-art RPGs on Kickstarter right now. One cleared it's goal in fifteen minutes and has now made 120k (as of this writing). The other is just barely about to hit its goal of 30k. Let's unpack that. www.kickstarter.com/projects/mon... www.kickstarter.com/projects/sea...

So because I'm using a code library and not a visual-scripting solution for my game's behavior tree, I decided I needed to plan out the behavior tree visually, first. However, I decided that it'd be best to use a solution for generating graphs in code. This makes perfect sense.
