weird accomplishments: likely have written more iambic pentameter verse, commercially as work-for-hire, than anyone else alive on Earth taught myself calculus in my thirties for narrative design reasons At one point an employer gave me a very thoughtful gift of a print of the Stan Kelly "sicko".

This page is fantastic. It's a "best hits of game narrative blogging" and it can teach a student more about narrative design and production best practices than many university programs will bother to. I am also very proud to report that my writing is on it several times

A side project I've been working on—a curated link page of important essays on video game narrative—is now live. You can read about it on my blog: azhdarchid.com/the-game-nar... Or you can go straight to the dedicated website: www.gamenarrativereader.org

Skin Deep's a gem. An immersive sim that heard everyone's fears about being violent, and solved it by making the bad guys immortal cartoon mooks who will probably hurt themselves MORE if you don't kick their asses for them. Also the writing is fantastic and funny. Some Venture Brothers notes to it.

If anyone is looking to hire a Peabody and BAFTA winning senior writer, I am looking for work. I’ve got six years experience in games. Everything from indie to AAA. I am not married to staying in games. I am hoping to relocate to the Bay Area. I am keeping my ears to the ground.

Figured I would make this clear - my "main" gig is now Blendo Games, where I'm handling both narrative and production. I've updated most of my public pages to indicate that Blendo is my "day job"! But my time at Blendo varies between full and part time. I'm still available for freelance thru 2027.

Hey yall - unfortunately the rest of the very, very talented wanderstop team was laid off today and the studio shuttered. I'm no longer in need of work, but please, hire these peeps in the thread below! They're all absurdly good at what they do.
