I need cis people to understand how much has been taken from us and in how short a time. And you'll think I'm crazy for saying this, but I do think you should know this happened to trans people before when a place briefly existed we were tolerated, and how that time ended.

There's that old Lee Atwater quote about how conservatism starts off saying the N-word and then moves to abstractions like talking about "busing" or states rights. On trans rights the right has gone back to just using the T-word. And the press thinks it's normal. We've regressed to 1954 or earlier.

Anti-trans Democrats deserve to lose every single race they run, and I'll say the same about Democrats who try to throw any other community to the wolves so that they might feast on the electoral marrow.
