Dutch wolfshrimp that thinks about being creative too much to actually be creative. He/him.
“Unlike KOSA and many of the other age verification laws that have spread across the country, the SCREEN Act does not have bipartisan support. It’s the latest in Lee’s repeated attempts to criminalize content he and his co-sponsors personally consider immoral.”
The SCREEN Act is a Christian Nationalist Nightmare
Mike Lee's SCREEN Act, which heads to Senate Commerce Committee for markup on Wednesday, would expand age verification requirements to a nearly limitless scope of websites, and is supported by the arc...

omg hiii, ok so I wrote a whole piece last year about the silly "bestiecore" name I offhandedly came up with around then and how, in contrast to AAA multiplayer titles, these indie games actually provide a really good map for what makes a good multiplayer title!! tl;dr these are NOT slop!!!
Smaller 'Friendslop' Games With Friends Highlight What Big Live Service Games Get Wrong | MMORPG.com
Live service games are losing the plot, and Victoria is here to tell you why.

Can Big Walk be the game where we stop calling them "friendslop"? It's feels incredibly embarrassing that professional writers are using this term, such a dismissive attitude
Just another casual reminder that you’re being laughed at by corporates because a) governments facilitate them and b) we don’t push back. Cost of living crisis, for you not for them.
Today, August 4, 2026, is the setting of Ray Bradbury’s short story “There Will Come Soft Rains” about a fully automated house continuing on after the family who lived there and the world around it died in a nuclear blast.
Represent Palestine solidarity defendants too effectively, and the state may prosecute you too.
I was sentenced as a terrorist. Now my barrister is on trial for defending me
My lawyer faces jail over a speech to jurors – a first in English history – as state seeks to silence Palestine solidarity

This is extremely bad even for the UK. Even if this gets dropped (which if anything still even remotely functions in our legal system it will), this is sheer intimidation against prospective lawyers deciding whether or not to take jobs defending people being politically persecuted in this country.

Guys will listen to male influencer bullshit about needing to have a six pack and manipulate everyone and meanwhile women will go “you know who is the sexiest fucking guy I’ve ever seen?” and post this
Damn me, but all things are queer, come to think of ’em.
I don't remember where I got this tool, but I have been using it for years. I've been doing commission work full time for the past 5 years and it has been IMMENSELY helpful. It can help you figure out hourly wages. Please at least check it out!

Hey, just some advice to younger/ inexperienced artists: Please charge yourself a living wage. You are doing nobody any favors by taking on a bunch of work you can't keep up with for dirt cheap. I say this with all the love in my heart but you are actively fucking yourself over doing that.
there are definitely downsides to the nuclear block but the reason I keep coming back to it as necessary and good is that it completely ruined the whole MAGA engagement model to the point that they prefer to mock us from the nazi bar rather than come here to troll us directly
Bluesky oldheads will remember that brief period of time when the conservative trolls tried to storm the place and were flummoxed by the idea they would have to organically grow an audience and that someone who didn't want to talk to them could nuke every interaction they ever had from orbit
Just so everyone knows, this is a tried-and-true mainstream media tactic. For progressives/leftist candidates, every election is a “crucial test” and any loss would serve as proof to the media that the latest left-side moment is at its end. Any win, though, just means it’s time to find a new test.
Michigan will provide another crucial test of whether progressives can not only keep up their winning streak in safe-blue seats but also break through in battlegrounds crucial for control of Congress. The stakes for the Democratic Party are huge.
Stop-mo PNGtuber for @foxander.bsky.social in the style of Fantastic Mr. Fox. Foxander messaged me about the idea and it seemed so cool! He sent me drawings and screenshots for the idea I got to work, it took a bit, but I streamed most of the process and am happy with the result! #3dart #vtuber
Oh no. Exactly what everyone who knows literally *anything* about it said would happen did in fact happen. Wow. So now all the other know nothings in other governments around the world who are planning on giving away everyone's privacy will stop and think for a single second, right? Right??
Australia’s eSafety commissioner buried a report (released Friday afternoon) that shows the under 16 social media ban didn’t tangibly reduce teen social media use, and also resulted in parents tuning out of kids usage. We traded our privacy for no reason. theconversation.com/more-than-80...
"It also detected an “unintended consequence” of the ban: the proportion of parents who didn’t know their child had used social media increased by 10%." Spookily enough, this complacency side effect is precisely one of the things we warned about with this and the Online Safety Act in the UK.

never thought short form video would be able to capture a type of humor i can only describe as “the far side-esque” but this comes close.
This will be the US if the SCREEN Act passes. Call your Senators before August 5 and tell them that you oppose the SCREEN Act, KOSA, and the KIDS Act. Use the official lookup tool at www.senate.gov/senators/sen... to find yours by state.
