Congrats to my friends at Racket for turning five! I'm thankful to live in the Twin Cities, which financially supports so much media, both traditional and independent. Trust me, it's not like this everywhere.

racket is five years old!!! i find that fact very hard to swallow and yet it’s true. here’s our fifth annual report to prove it. i feel very, very lucky that this is my job and my life!!!

Make no mistake here. This is Trump objectively taking the side of Iran, a nation we are currently at war with, over the Americans in Minnesota because he hates the governor and the fact that a majority of voters there did not vote for him

Trump: "We heard in Minnesota there was a cyberattack and they blame it on Iran. I don't think so. I blame it on Minnesota because they're grossly incompetent. Iran's got bigger problems than worrying about Minnesota."

Bravo @ewgofficial.bsky.social for the yearly expose of fraud in the agriculture welfare system. "between 2020 and 2025, $2.6 billion in farm subsidies went to 92,766 residents of Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and 197 other major metro areas – with many never setting foot on farmland"

‘City slicker’ payments swell to $2.6B with Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill and farm bailouts

More than 92,000 “city slickers” living in some of the biggest metropolitan areas in the U.S.

It’s a gutting of how the Endangered Species Act works. While you still can’t kill an endangered species, because it would cause it “harm,” Now you can destroy its habitat, food, water, shelter, breeding grounds. This is no longer a “harm.” It’s a way to make it easier for industries to extract.

Historic heartbreak. Only the depraved & greedy could push animals into extinction. Why? So the ultrawealthy can extract from the Earth her last drops of blood: money & more ranching, mining, drilling, and logging. All in a word. “Harm.” www.nytimes.com/2026/07/10/c... #EndangeredSpeciesAct
