obviously many more important takeaways from the French approach to protest, but much respect to the absolute varsity level Whimsy of throwing a whole ass piano at the cops

My decision to stop using FB on moral (and Wordle) grounds years ago has continually proven to be a good one.

Hey neat. Welcome to me never buying an Epic game again.
NEW: Epic Games has delayed its upcoming (not yet announced) Star Wars + Marvel shooter as it pivots to complete AI game development. "No more hand-written code," a director told staff. All art "generated with full AI workflows." Full scoop: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
LOL Ukraine hit a Russian data center and Russian bot activity immediately dropped to practically zero. Elon is mad hahahahahaha
I am way too online for my own good, and I had an unreasonably large twitter following, and I really *enjoyed* twitter for a lot of years, and yet leaving there and never looking back was maybe the easiest what-felt-like-a-big-ethical decision I've ever made.
It's different for people whose livelihood depends on eyeball counts and I have *never* criticized a working journalist or freelance writer for maintaining an active presence there. But for everyone else? "The conversations are more fun so I generate free content to feed Elon Musk's business"?

One Message Remains by @premeemohamed.com was very good. I think Taya's story was my favorite. I've read a few of her books now and I appreciate is that she doesn't force characters into feel-good decisions. When they come to a hard choice, there's a real feeling of tension and suspense.

I question if Minneapolis is a great example. Yes, Bovino and Nome are out, but what Stephen Miller learned is that you can still round up brown people if you don't shove it in peoples' faces. Folks are still being assaulted, detained, and disappeared, but now there's much less coverage.
This is well worth reading. Needless to say, organizing is key. newrepublic.com/article/2161...
