Article about fires in Suffolk and wow what a quote - did/do people not care about climate change cause they thought it’s a problem for the developing world only? Speechless

Wonder when concerned citizens of Harrogate will be marching to protest the presence of large numbers of fighting age men on a military base just outside their town, some of whom have been harassing and sexually assaulting our women and girls. Oh, wait, they are British military recruits

Not sure why people are worried about possible future crime by asylum seekers who may be housed in military base near Thetford. Seems they should be more worried about actual current violent crime being committed by White Brits.

There is only one European nation with fewer hospital beds per capita than the UK Sweden but they have the highest number of care home & nursing home beds 26% fewer care home beds 23% fewer nursing beds Fewer hospital beds Then people wonder why A&E is blocked

Another cracker from @sheffieldtribune.bsky.social. I am very much not a man of the outdoors but it seems obvious disposable barbecues should be banned.* If people are dumb enough to think a bottle of water can prevent a moor fire, they should be allowed near fire. *my opinion, not the articles

He tells me he and a team of volunteers are on duty late into the night checking for illegal fires or barbecues. As he approaches people, he starts a conversation, trying to establish a rapport, he says. Occasionally people respond that it’s only a small fire, and look, they’ve got a bottle of water. So what’s the risk?

Saw a few spots of something strange and wet appear on the garden this morning, accompanied by grey clouds. But it's OK, it only lasted a few minutes and has disappeared now. I vaguely remember seeing something similar in the past, only IIRC it didn't seem such a fleeting phenomenon back then.

I used to tap on an email attachment to get an instant preview. V convenient. Now, before I can see it, an AI bot insists on giving me its summary and interpretation of contents and offers further information on subjects mentioned in it. Burning the planet to waste my time. 🤬

Do Americans insist on having half time shows in big sporting events because most of their sports are so boring that they need something to keep the crowd entertained?
