I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

Alright now that I’m home I guess it’s time to officially announce some really good news: I have received an NIH R35 MIRA!! This award will fund five years of research in my group using Aiptasia to study context dependency and GxGxE interactions in animal-microbe symbioses!

Honestly, I would consider engaging with AI if companies closed down chatbots. I didn’t mind Siri, and I don’t mind quick travel-related translations, but an unlimited addictive plagiarism tool for the lonely and SLOP-minded is a horrible idea, and I just want no part it in.
