£10 billion of your money wasted on useless PPE barely scratches the surface of how appalling the Tories were. Brace for worse in this excerpt from The Decade In Tory. No paywall. open.substack.com/pub/russinch...
Remembering the Tory response to Covid
As an inquiry finally confirms the scale of PPE waste and corruption, this excerpt from The Decade In Tory reveals the true, horrifying detail of government incompetence as the pandemic struck.

The great thing about Britain is you're free to think whatever you want to think and say whatever J. K. Rowling's lawyers permit you to say.
Almost £10 billion of the £15 billion that Boris Johnson's Government spent on PPE during the pandemic was wasted, the Covid Inquiry has concluded. The Inquiry found money was wasted on a "vast" scale, with companies with "connections to government" given first preference for contracts

Just a word on the Benefits v Pensions Triple lock argument. They are both classed as benefits, cutting one will give them an excuse to cut the other. If you are arguing for one to be cut you are arguing for both to be cut. They are easily affordable, cut the billionaires.
GUYS - I’ve just realised what Farage is going to do… The thing is he now has NO WAY to proceed which doesn’t humiliate him. If he wins, he is, as Rachel Reeves put it, The Man Who Spent His Summer Arguing With A Bin. If he bails, he’s The Man Who Fled From A Bin. And if he LOSES…
Oh come on @vicderbyshire.bsky.social - are you going to take control of the programme and let other guests actually speak? #Newsnight
Calling a by-election over the sovereign right of every MP to take secret gifts from a convicted criminal. What a time to be alive.
Why is Nigel Farage allowed to resign and then stand again in the same seat for the next election. This waste of resources really should be illegal.
Imagine if all the other countries in the World Cup now refused to play. Imagine if we could show Trump and others like him that their behaviour really is unacceptable to decent people.
