Maybe it's time to move into the woods... but I'll give it a shot over here first. Aspirational hiker and bad runner, politics and data nerd, beer enthusiast and carb disposal.

Ossoff: "In sweeping and decisive victories, the American people have rebuked the depravity, corruption, and incompetence of the failed lame duck president, Donald J Trump"

Thank you, NY-10 voters! It’s a profound honor to represent you in the U.S. Congress. Whether you voted for me or not, I’ll work hard to serve you, your families, and your neighbors every single day.

Considering how eager voters were to run back to the right in 2024, Chuck/Hakeem better not fuck these next two years up for Angie Nixon. If they fuck around and do nothing and shit stays the same, Florida isn't gonna fall so easy. Better do some shit when you got all the political capital

That was a special election in Florida to fill out Rubio's seat, Nixon can keep organizing and run against Moody again in 2028

Update: LOL. FURTHERMORE: LMAO Yeah sex is great but have you ever heard someone tell Steve Bannon that exit polls show that young men are evenly split between Dems and Republicans and he goes silent and then says, in a very soft voice: "that can't be right"

Not to single out David here, but this makes me want to scream. You can find great political analysts who haven’t been accused by a dozen women of sexual misconduct when they were running a news division. Predators have the news judgment of predators, and that makes them blind to all kinds of things

It is far too soon to reach any definitive conclusions about where things will end up. But based on the totality of what I know right now, my sources in both parties believe the two most likely overall results are Blue tsunami and giant Blue wave. Based on the voting so far, the

Another thing on this: I can assure you that folks will cite high Black turnout this midterm as evidence that the Roberts’ Court in Shelby County, Rucho, Callais, etc has been justified in weakening the VRA. But people outworking discriminatory law/jurisprudence is not justice or good policy.

Black turnout across the South is through the roof and the national media seems to be ignorant of the fact that effectively ending the VRA is part of a broader effort to roll back democracy. Black voters are mobilizing in response. For a region with perpetually low turnout, this is huge.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is warning voters against getting too comfortable before Election Day. During a rally for Rep. Pat Ryan in the Hudson Valley tonight, AOC told voters to 'never let up on the gas' and ensure that every voter casts their ballot.

Was just talking to my husband about this. What aggrieved, sulking men on the right miss most of all is the impunity they imagined their predecessors enjoyed (and in some cases, definitely did). They'll dress it up as anything but that, but they long for a world of special treatment and exceptions.

Anakin broke his celibacy vows, murdered an entire village of natives including “the women & the children,” & slaughtered a roomful of kids looking to him for protection. He did this all because he felt entitled to a position he wasn’t qualified for. Perfect symbol for men of the right. No notes
