HonkFest: all these radically inclusive band folks wearing tutus & respecting human rights & appreciating one another’s music, I can see why the far right finds our radicalism so dangerous! At the afterparty a band played “Bill Nye the Science Guy” and we all yelled “science is cool!” 🤣🎉🔬🎵🎺

This might seem like a casual threat to annihilate a country but it’s actually part of a reasonable argument as to why the speaker should have won the Nobel Peace Prize “I will tell you what… Iran will be very quick one way or the other: that they give us everything or they don’t exist any longer.”

“There was zero plan, except causing pain,” said one U.N. official about the Trump administration’s decision to stop funding the group with no notice or communication. “And that is not forgivable.” (Published Dec. 2025)

After Trump Officials Cut Food Aid to Kenya, Children Starved to Death

“Brutal and traumatizing”: Interviews and a trove of internal documents show government officials and aid workers desperately tried to warn Trump advisers about impending disaster and death.

Now seems like a good time to say that the more I look at what doge did with USAID the more it looks like a straightforward eugenics project and Elon’s protests that he didnt know anyone might die seem doubly evil

Failing up ..."Pete Hegseth appoints Elon Musk to US taskforce on future of warfare. A year after his explosive tenure at Doge, the SpaceX CEO is back in the Trump administration’s good graces." www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

A couple quick observations here, which should be obvious. 1) insurance “risk pools” work by requiring younger/healthier people who make few or no claims to sign up and pay premiums alongside older/less healthy people who do, essentially covering their costs.

Assistant AG for Fraud Colin McDonald: "Apparently 35% of people have never even used their Obamacare account for any health services. That is a statistical impossibility and it's because these are not real people seeking real care. These are fraudsters."

Hey, ProPublica reporter Jake Pearson here. I’m taking over the account to tell you about my new story. For months, I posed as a problem gambler on DraftKings to test the company's "responsible gaming" safeguards. Spoiler alert: They made me a VIP — and I lost $10K. Here's how it all went down. 🧵

Silly of me to worry about things like constitutional rights, the balance of power, children having access to food and education, and people not dying of preventable diseases when all this time Washington is… actually one of several majors capital city without a “triumphal arch” 🤔
