Holy shit, this guy is so cool. He won the only major city mayoral race in France that *didn’t* need a second round of voting (meaning he had 50%+ of support in their version of a primary). A major part of his platform was disarming the police.
Finished “Witches of Dubious Origin” by Jenn McKinley and really liked it! It’s described as a cozy fantasy but I think it’s better to describe it as urban/contemporary fantasy. There’s a sequel coming out next month and I’m really excited to see how she develops this world!

One of the things to come from GamerGate was the gamification of torturing real, live women...hounding them out of their homes, making them look over their shoulders for years. It was treated as a joke, nbd, the work of a few bad apples--as all terrorism against women is--& that failure leads here.
