Pretty much everyone on IG who has been carefully quiet about politics is speaking out. It’s. Weird. I’m not on there all that much, but I think people have finally been given social permission to say the uncomfortable thing. I think they realize not speaking up will be read as acceptance.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
