If you are wealthy, I think you should spend more money on clothes. There's no pride in buying clothes for the lowest possible price, as this puts downward pressure on garment worker wages and increases the likelihood of exploitation.
Blanche v. Lau is devastating for green card holders. It means that if they leave the U.S. then return, a border officer can claim they committed a crime at some point, revoke their lawful status, and confiscate their green card without meaningful evidence of wrongdoing. It's really, really bad.

People have had children and given them hope and joy in the worst circumstances humans have ever faced (which is not, hate to break it to you, in America in 2026, bad as things are/feel).
Catastrophe can be plausible without being preordained, and treating every danger as destiny does not make us more prepared. My latest.

The Fifth Circuit just told millions of women that three judges know better than the FDA, their doctors, and 25 years of evidence. They don't. This restriction on medication abortion is a nationwide abortion restriction, full stop. I have no intention of letting this stand.
It is genuinely incomprehensible to me how people who have devoted their lives & careers to education can decide it no longer matters whether high school graduates are capable of reading an entire book.
If leaders abuse the rule of law to make themselves immune to it, so that they can undermine the rights of others with impunity, by what moral or philosophical argument are they entitled to its protections, once they lose power? By what grace should they be sorted by law instead of by other means?

I am too. Not so much about his using nukes, which I think is unlikely, but the financial and other pain that is already baked into the limited commerce out of the Gulf.
My kids are a little worried about me because I have been on a "let's make sure we're prepared for the 'consequences'" kick for the last month or so. But I am honestly scared of how much pain we're collectively in for. I'm calling every day again, as soon as I park my car at the office I'm calling
The more people call, the more likely we can move them. Every call counts!
