line 5 just confirmed to open this sunday, february 8! with only 5 days notice, this got to be a record from the TTC on shortest notice *ever* for a new transit line opening. we've only waited 15 years :)

heads up for those waiting for confirmation of the line 5 eglinton opening date - it's coming tomorrow morning at a TTC Board update. it'll either be a confirmation of the february 8 date (which the TTC has already slated post-opening service changes for), or an (unplanned) deferred opening date.
