My political stance is I want the world to be like star trek but if in star trek the NBA champion was the Houston rockets

In other Michigan news, the state looks set to elect it's first transgender lawmaker. Joanna Whaley won her Democratic primary and will compete in November for a state house seat, beating a primary opponent who tried and failed to disqualify her for not running under her deadname

Reminder: a bunch of right wingers once tried to gain a foothold on this website, & they failed miserably because the feed here is chronological, & there are ample moderation tools. When the right isn't given special treatment on social media, their impact has no juice

"Liberal bubble" has only ever meant anywhere where right wing perspectives aren't artificially elevated and forced into everyone's feeds.

saying "sometimes paying more today for a more expensive item can save you money over the course of that item's usefulness, but sometimes not, it depends" in a public location and starting the most violent and deadly riot in history

so far the dam has not burst on fuel prices due to strategic reserve and other factors. but they really can't let this go on much longer. If that damn bursts, say, right before the november election... these guys are playing with a truly astonishing amount of fire

In TX: Tarrant County Judge Tim O'Hare just CLEARED the meeting room, kicking out public speakers who are opposed to the GOP plan to cut half of the battleground county's Election Day voting locations for November:

not a single republican legislator has a single principle. when push comes to shove, every single on will cave to trump, will cave to racists, will cave to anything the party tells them to do because they are pusillanimous worms who worship power and supremacy and nothing else. Every. One. ALWAYS.

i think john fetterman and james carville should arrange themselves into sort of a master blaster type situation then be a loot-giving boss in a borderlands game or something

When I say that the republican party is a historic and primordial evil this is exactly what I mean. The idea of these wretched, hateful men holding onto power for one year, one week, one hour more is repugnant to the heart of any human with a mind to reason with and the will to do so

When I was small, my father held a knife to my mom’s throat as I screamed and scratched at his legs. Later she made dinner, because refusing to do so would have been worse. That was a few days before we left in the night, her bleeding, me silent. It was the worst night of my life. And the best.

Rep. Max Miller: "My former wife has claimed that during a custody exchange at my home that day, I assaulted her…If I had assaulted her, would she have offered to cook me dinner six days later?"

I mean he has zero reason to give a shit about blue states. "But he should! This is a union!" Hmm. Curious, that. It really does seem like if we were one nation it would be anathema to simply treat a region you disagree with as occupied territory Very! Very curious! Isn't it!

Still can’t over the fact that the president of the United States just told an entire state to pound sand after getting cyberattacked by a foreign adversary because they didn’t vote for him and it was treated like a Tuesday lol

The two parties in America are "the biggest problem in the world is that my bitch wife won't shut up and help me deport my minority neighbors" and "literally anything else" How curious that one of them isn't doing so hot right now
