We're celebrating this month's 60th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act with Section 106 success stories from #Iowa! 🏺

Section 106 in this bill would only apply to federal undertakings on federal lands. #Iowa has no state-level protections for cultural resources aside from ancient burials, leaving the vast majority of archaeological sites in Iowa unprotected from development and destruction.
