Hi!! Apologies if you know this, what improved my bluesky experience was to create notifications for my favourite contributors.Look for this button on their profile and then set it so you get a notification when people post.I now live in my notifications, only going to the "home" when I want a change

I know it's the holidays, but I any suggestions for a new KS4 resource? Currently use Pearson Active Learn, but we all end up finding alternative questions, as insufficient skills building questions. We liked the style of good old-fashioned Rayner books from the 1990s. Any recommendations? 🙏

Been getting my life admin sorted this week (car MOT/service, etc) Today's clever decision was to have the issues with my central heating/boiler pressure dropping investigated, on a day when it's about 28°C 🥵🔥 (To be fair, it wasn't as hot as this when I made the appointment 😅)

Morning all. There is an account called "Rob Southern fan" using a picture of Jack Brown as it's profile pic that's reposting and commenting on lots of my posts. I've blocked the account and would appreciate you doing the same. 🙂

I don't know if anyone needs to hear this, but if you're single and considering booking a solo trip, you should absolutely do it if you can. It's low-key terrifying at first (and second, and third...), but also very liberating to get to explore places completely on your own schedule 😊

How closely related are the Pearson that does SATs, the Pearson that does A Levels, and the Pearson that does university admissions tests? Just wondering how worried to be about them messing up the SATs results release... #MathsToday

Just looking through this year's thank you cards from students before I put them away in a safe place. I've not quite reached the age of teaching the kids of people I've taught yet, but I am at the point where my former students are now teachers who have taught my current students! ❤️ #MathsToday

A section of a handwritten card that says, in brackets:
"Also, my maths teacher from secondary was taught by you, and when I left she said if I had you, I would be learning from the best!"

The tidiest my classroom ever looks is this one day of the year, the last day before the summer holidays, when the students have gone and half of my colleagues have taken a day off in lieu. I have an annual tidying frenzy, then that's it for another year 😂

Nice #CoreMaths lesson there... 1) Explain why £9K to £99K *isn't* a 900% increase 2) Work out the original cost of the house when adjusted for inflation 3) Work out the AER on the investment over 33 years 4) Do a Fermi estimation of how much money is wasted by people buying the Daily Mail each year

So it turns out the massive scandal here is that Bridget Phillipson's mum bought a council house for £9k in 1990 and then sold it *33 years* later for £99k. That's the entire story
