I'm just going to keep screaming this until I'm hoarse, but until Trump the norm -- for 50 years -- was that sitting presidents had their taxes audited by the IRS and released to the public to show they were clean. But Trump refused repeatedly, and sued when his return was leaked, and now ... this

FLAG: Trump gets to keep tax immunity for himself, his sons, and the Trump Organization under the new 'deal' struck by Todd Blanche. The new order also reaffirms that Trump won't have to pay any taxes he might have owed the IRS.

Update: We had a direct flight that was going to leave at 7:55 and get in at 10:45. It was canceled. Our new flight is leaving at 5:30 and going to ATL, where we will sit for six hours until our flight to JFK takes off at 1:30AM. Uuuuuuuugh.

Hey, NYC friends, how's the weather? We are supposed to be flying to JFK tonight and have already had two flights canceled and our rescheduled flight is set to arrive at 1:30AM. Apparently the thunderstorms are very bad?

We got headlines about Joe Biden having Parkinsons and being mentally unfit in the big papers for months. One of Trump's own buddies gets on TV and says The President is crazy and doesn't know what he's saying sometimes and has impulse control and it won't move the needle

Sen. John Kennedy on Trump's blatant reflecting pool lies: "The president says it was caused by vandals. I don't know if he really believes that or it's part of his political messaging or he's just thinking out loud ... he grows anxious when he has an unexpressed thought."

Fwiw, I put Sarah Matthews in the vanishingly small camp of: is actually genuine about her turnaround and regret about working for him and trying to do something about it beyond just advancing a post-trump media career. The category is small. But fwiw if you’re trying to separate grifters from not

This is a very smart and sane, brutal take on POTUS47 from the smart Sarah Matthews, who used to work for POTUS45.

Ex Trump Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Matthews: "Advisors were telling him he lost. I think Trump has always been a broken man, but losing in 2020 fair & square to Biden permanently broke his brain… He's the weakest, most thin-skinned baby of all time."

a slight tangent but let me tell you who reparented me into middle-aged womanhood: Jessica Fletcher. Jessica never plays in anybody’s face about if she likes them or not. She lets folks know. I aspire. If I don’t mess with you; you will know.

Like the hypocrisy and the open corruption, the naked, brazen lying is itself aspiring authoritarianism. They aren't lying to cover anything up. They're saying, "We know we're lying. You know we're lying. And we know you know we're lying. And there's nothing you can do about it."

BASH: But it peeled off. Why did that happen? BURGUM: It didn't peel off. There was vandalism. There was box cutters. There have been 7 arrests. BASH: There are photographs of people cutting a 350 foot gash in the reflecting pool? BURGUM: Dana, I'm not sure why you keep questioning it

Bordeaux, France, has now recorded more days above 40°C in 2026 alone than during the entire 105-year period from 1920 (when observations began) to 2025. This is deeply shocking.
