Covered license plates. Unmarked vehicles. A teen thrown to the ground. In Joliet, ICE isn't enforcing immigration law. They are running a street intimidation operation with federal badges. There is a word for governments that make people disappear into unmarked vehicles. We should start using it.

Disturbing reports from Joliet show ICE goons using aggressive, questionable tactics, including alleged racial profiling and forcing an individual into an unmarked vehicle with covered plates. Even more alarming: footage shows a goon shoving a teenager to the ground.

All lobbying of govt ministers, aides and senior officials should be publicly declared . All professional lobbyists need to be licensed and registered, transcripts of meetings need to be published with 48 hours. Also criminalise receipt/payment of political donations. No 2nd jobs for MPs.

I think if you needed any more evidence that the cuts are shortsighted and focused on cutting as deep and as fast as possible with little regard for the future, this is pretty definitive. That engine felt like magic in some spots. A colossal waste of talent and resources.
