I am a lawyer and ... yes? WB was worried specifically that an antitrust challenge would delay the deal, and Paramount offered the ticking fee as a sweetener. That wasn't the states' choice, that was Paramount's effort to get WB to drop its contract with Netflix.

The president is refusing to spend taxpayer money assisting Americans suffering from natural disasters solely because their states didn't vote for him. I know there are a thousand scandals at the moment, but this one deserves some more oxygen at every level.

No. Approval rates of federal disaster aid requests were about the same regardless of the state and did not vary much with the party of the President. This graph powerfully conveys the scale of the partisan discrimination now.

I swear I think these GOP anti good faith pro lifers are deplorable enough to orchestrate this shit ON PURPOSE and these people now funding her legal battle do not give a rip about this child. The entire situation is unnecessarily awful.

An ICE officer jumps out of a van and pulls a gun on this woman immediately before lying and claiming she "almost ran us over." *profanity warning if watching in public.

Chillingly, they claimed she “almost ran them over” until she told them she had video proving that was a lie.
Again, it is an *exceptionally* strange situation where the president of the US gets to literally invent preposterous things out of thin air every day and no one can do anything about it
