No matter how it turns out, I think it’s clear that “election that seems good but then slowly gets worse as the night goes on” is far more unbearable than “election that is bad the whole night”

The best root beer is Boylan’s. Virgil’s is great tries a little too hard, the big commercial brands don’t try hard enough, and the ones that try to make it too root-y are missing the point

Over a year ago, a Dutch frog science magazine emailed me asking if they could include my comic in their upcoming issue about dart frogs. They were interviewing the scientist who first described the blue poison dart frog; he had seen and liked the comic. They mailed me a copy, which just arrived:

One thing that has changed since I was a kid is that old people used to have much better manners than young people. Now if the guy behind you on the airplane is playing phone games with the sound on, odds are good he’s in his sixties.
