We just wrapped 5 days shooting my new short “Cyleen”. It stars myself, was co-written by @mayadeane.bsky.social (Wrath Goddess Sing), has a trans director and DP, and features a bunch of my actor friends from #TheChairCompany and classes around the city! Will have much more to share soon!

“Silly” is a good way to put it! There were excesses in 2020 but they were mostly low-stakes efforts by well-intentioned people to address real injustices. The excesses of the right during the same era were far more harmful. The reckoning we need now is about how elites lost sight of that.

a thing that feels hard to report on is that the energy around james talarico feels incredibly different than it did with beto this feels more realistic. people aren’t excited, they are angry. they feel the scam of GOP governance and they are fed up.

Let's talk about AOC as a young scientist & her award winning research on antioxidants & C. elegans, a standard roundworm model. She grew up in the Bronx. Ethnically Puerto Rican, her dad Sergio, an architect, died when she was 19. Her mother cleaned houses, drove a school bus. Working class.

People just don't realize how smart AOC is. She came in second at the national Intel Science and Engineering Fair. An *incredibly* competitive field. That's roughly equivalent to being the second best forward in high school basketball in the United States.
