Idk what to put here, but as a transwoman who has no intention of going to prison, this still terrifies me. Knowing that, if I'm ever jailed I'll be at a higher risk of SA and death by suicide than a cis person, makes me feel unsafe as a citizen. Everyone, incl. prisoners, deserveS human rights.

Wall-to-wall discourse around sexual violence is pretty unbearable, and I say that as someone who reports on discourse about sexual violence. For anyone who needs to hear this, it is okay to take a break. It is okay to stop scrolling or to not be able to come up with something to say right now.

The prospect of seeking medical help for gender dysphoria-related depression and anxiety is terrifying. What if the person doesn't understand gender dysphoria, or is an outright transphobe? What if you're admitted as an inpatient and you're forced to share facilities with the wrong gender?

Being trans while living in an environment where you can't transition feels like Covid. You know what you want to be doing with your life. You have dreams of it every night. But you can't realise those dreams. Sometimes you get breaks where you can be yourself, but you always know lockdown awaits.

I keep thinking about how a young woman DoorDash driver was charged and hauled into court for recording and posting evidence of her customer sexually harassing her, while nothing is happening to the droves of men using Grok to sexually harass women and children. The institutions are pro-perpetrator.

Greta Thunberg has just been arrested for opposing genocide outside Aspen Insurance, which underwrites Israeli weapons firm Elbit Systems. Meanwhile, Keir Starmer — complicit in the genocide of the Palestinian people — walks free. He should be arrested and sent to The Hague.

If you can't handle the possibility of your kid being queer or trans, don't have kids. Go to therapy instead.

Gotta say, as a survivor, I’m not super loving this thing where the Department of Justice is running a cover-up of evidence the President sexually abused minors.

Just heard my dad tell my youngest brother that he shouldn't try to live up to other people's expectations. Funny. When I stopped living up to my dad's expectations and came out as queer and trans, he threatened me with homelessness. 🙃
