JK Rowling has said, more than once, publicly that people consuming Harry Potter means they support her. And her transphobia. She uses her vast wealth to do very real world harms to trans people, and in particular...trans women. There is no ethical consumption. None. It's that easy.

Spring has sprung and Easter is just around the corner, so it’s time for my yearly reminder: if you own cats, DO NOT bring lilies ANYWHERE into your house. Even just breathing in the pollen or drinking the water from a vase can be fatal to kitties.

Oh right, time to repost this. Gertrude might be a modern internet "folk" saint of cats but there is no history beyond that as many cat influencers like to imply this time of year.

Every March 17th people tell me I should post about St. Gertrude, "the patron saint of cats". The thing is, I'm a bit of a nerd about accuracy and this stuff about Gertrude is not true. It's a recent internet thing. Any "old" artwork you see of her with cats is modern. uscatholic.org/articles/202...
