Iris@irisembury.bsky.social · 2d agoNo, they make money by providing goods and services that other people in the country want to pay for. Some make food, some cars, some provide internet infrastructure, Boeing makes planes, Home Depot runs retail stores that sell tools and supplies, etc.
Yeah unlike the democrats who clearly learned from their loss to trump in 2016 which is why they never lost to him by doing the exact same thing again. Now to take a big sip of coffee and finally look at the 2024 election results.
This is tangential, but I've been thinking about the differences between these two. Boomer nostalgia is all about missing being 25 and it being the summer of love and thinking you were hot shit despite killing the world. Millennial nostalgia is all about wishing it was September 10, 2001 forever.
