I'm bad at social media!

Spending my precious evening time getting peeved at co-workers in spreadsheet comments because they a) didn't bother with column headers and b) used data that aren't useful for the current task, which I would've known in advance had there been headers identifying it.

There is a thing which I am supposed to have working tomorrow (which I did not know until Monday), and the thing underlying it is glitching in a way which makes no sense.

There were several Terran missions in single-player Starcraft where I spent more time gathering resources and building than actual fighting (modulo fixed defenses holding off zergling rushes). Being able to move buildings was such a boon to capturing new resource sites.

Gimme the old school RISK (Gen X) or “Command & Conquer” (Millennials) players handling logistics and things would have been over MONTHS ago in Iran.

The people using the em dash as a sign of AI use are fools. It's at the level of throwing someone into a river and if they float they must be a witch.

I find it fascinating that in the 1990s, the US managed to re-create early twentieth-century Vienna café culture only to have it gradually decay over the first quarter of the twenty-first century such that now most coffee shops are closed by six PM.
