They are paler still, like a photocopy of a living being, the ink running out at the end of a lengthy print run. The eyes have softened, emptying and the smile once forced, comes more easily. The shadowy face less frightening without the pain. #13MorbidMondays

Introducing a companion doll to my Spirit Medium Agatha Whisper - Rowena, Agatha's Spirit Guide. I researched Victorian age photographs of mediums and their guides when setting up and taking photos of both dolls. #ghosts #spiritmedium #artdolls #spiritguide

My station's silent; decommissioned long before I was. Tore down the buildings above where we'd partied 'til the early hours. Before my night went sour. Before the rooftop chase; the locked door; the fall. A vent shaft yawning into a squat maintenance hut; its drop depth now halved. #13MorbidMondays

You're asking for just one??? Working in the heritage sector there are literally SO MANY! Personally most interesting are: The Bronze Age Collapse; Boudica's Uprising against Rome; Bodies unearthed during drainage of Edinburgh's Norloch/Railway construction; and WW2 in Europe. #13MorbidMondays

Alexander Nasmyth's painting of Edinburgh Castle and its Norloch (North Loch), which was drained to make way for Princes Street Gardens, the New Town and the Railway in the 19th Century, uncovering skeletons of those executed in the loch from the late 14th/early 15th century. The picture centres Edinburgh Castle on its volcanic mound, with the Old city sprawl near invisible on its far side - the Loch lies to the right of the painting with St Cuthburt's Church on the far shore. The painting is from the near shore, that would have run a fair bit past the end of existing Princes Street (the earthworks required to create the entirety of the New Town was truly monumental). This painting can be viewed in the National Galleries of Scotland at the foot of the Mound.
