It's sheepdog trial day! Our favourite regional summer event. Henry doesn't much care about the competition but he loves the day out, the many friendly dog lovers who greet him and give him skritches, and the sheepy smell in the air.

There's a similar program in Canada! Every author I know is pleased to hear someone got their book out from the library. (They're even more pleased to hear they requested that their library acquire the book! Most libraries have an easy way to make the request, and are surprisingly likely to oblige.)
