I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE. This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined. It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Radical opinion of the day: on-street parking is a bad use of public land. Especially in extremely walkable places like @downtownroyaloak.bsky.social the space should be reserved for 15-minute parking, ride-share pickups, and handicap accessible spots.
In the 2.5 months I've worked in Detroit, I've lost track of the number of cars I've seen in the bike lanes (which includes at least one cop). What a great way for the city to warn revenue.

They can't issue traffic violations, which is not allowed under PA state law. There's some interest in exploring this option in Detroit. (Yes, the gray SUV was illegally parked.)
