"A photo of Tracey Hooper, Annice Grundy, Lisa Lockey and Bethany Hutchison dressed in nurses’ uniforms was published for the purpose of posing for a photo for the article. Those uniforms were not their own uniforms but were provided by the Daily Mail."

"On her father’s suggestion, she and some of the other nurses approached Christian Concern/ Christian Legal Centre for advice and support. They could have approached their trade union but they chose not to."
I know it’s the right-whinge playbook, but it sickens me to my stomach every time one of these bigots plays the victim. “It is oppression, not allowing us to opress people we don’t like” We will see how resolute the Greens are in this case when the rubber actually meets the road. #TRANSRIGHTS
An independent taskforce *just* did a huge review of ADHD in England, and the conclusion was that it's "under-recognised, under-diagnosed and under-treated." www.england.nhs.uk/long-read/re...

The government must remove Robbie Gibb from the BBC board immediately – and end the practice of political appointments, which so badly undermines the BBC, altogether.
Graham Linehan masquerades as a victim. In reality, he’s an aggressive, obsessive bully - and Victoria Coren-Mitchell just called him out on it.
The Charity Commission 'investigation' of a 'charity' (which is really a free market lobbyist that doesn't declare its funders) incredibly accepts assurances that it isn't an overtly political body. writesbright.substack.com/p/captured-b...

"By paying such disproportionate attention to Nigel Farage's latest outfit, Reform UK, the BBC is compromising its reputation. To many licence fee payers, the broadcaster gives the impression that it hangs on every word uttered by Farage..." @maxwilkinson.bsky.social writes to Ofcom.
“Nooooo! You can’t be some dorky conventional presenting lady who looks like a freakishly tall nerdy librarian or academic! You have to shatter the binary, overthrow capitalism, and attack and dethrone God!” I have no idea how to do that and it sounds like too much pressure and a lot of work.
Trump used his caddies to cheat at golf. ... There isn't an honest bone in Taco's rancid body! #MAGAmerica
Mr Khan: show your true flag: declare London a Sanctuary city and ban the Gender Critical Ideology Movement in the City as the fascist body that it is. Distance yourself from a Government hell-bent on remaining in the culture wars for the foreseeable future, and cosying-up to hate on a daily basis.
The BBC have now successfully buried it to page 2 with a ton of news articles, burying it. Very convinced this article was just plausible deniability so they can say they covered it.
seems the BBC FINALLY reported on it, never forget this is still their page discussing the SC ruling
Going to use this as an opportunity to plug this petition. The so-called OSA is just death to privacy and a boost for big tech (small tech can’t comply with the demands of Ofcom, who aren’t fit for purpose) petition.parliament.uk/petitions/72...

🏫 It sets out how teachers must not use materials that "encourage" people to question their gender, and tells teachers that there is "significant debate" about trans people www.wearequeeraf.com/section-28-2...
RSE guidance is “patently and cruelly transphobic” - community responds to ‘Section 28 2.0’ curriculum
It has taken a "trans exclusionary" approach and received widespread condemnation from the LGBTQIA+ community

People want to blame a single man for this but the reality is that Epstein is the result of a system that normalizes and tolerates rampant sexual abuse of people by wealthy and powerful men. Look no future than Diddy to see how none of these people are ever fully held accountable.
I think Kenan Malik is right, but Katharine Birbalsingh (‘Britain’s strictest headteacher’, who would make Miss Trunchbull blush) immersing herself in the conservative grift and then being surprised by it feels almost like a leopards eating faces moment.
🇫🇷 President Macron: "Many people said that Brexit would help better fight illegal immigration." ❌ “However, since Brexit the UK no longer has any migration agreement with EU. This is a pull factor, exactly the inverse effect of what Brexit promised.”
Macron is right – Brexit is to blame for Britain’s immigration crisis
The French president did not hold back on how Brexit had created the small boats crisis - the reverse of the promises made by Farage and other Brexiteers, notes David Maddox

I saw an infographic a couple years ago about how to remove source identifiers from links and why it's important, but I can't find it again and too many people I know are sending me links with them so here's an infographic straight from the oven

Half minded but maybe there should be an effort to flood the Equalities Office with letters opposing Stephenson — letters which (like the committee report) do not mention being trans, but point to other issues. Not sure what others (many undoubtedly more experienced than me) would think of this
Please don’t ignore this the next time you’re told “it’s either these guys or Reform” coz this is also what Reform would do and you should rail against it no matter what colour the tie is.
