Here's Jason Arday's death - and the media's role in it - trending on social media, again. And yet it's *nowhere* in the mainstream media today. It's "fallen" out of the news cycle in the same way that Russian scientists "fall" out of windows. 🔗

Infected with the woke mind virus - and doing great! Here mostly to be amused, and for a bit of politics.
Steve Hilton is hoping we don’t know the difference between a tax hike and an inflation adjustment. California didn’t “just raise the gas tax.” The 2.2 cent increase was the annual inflation adjustment required under SB 1, a law passed in 2017.
NEW: I can't get this story out of my head. And I know I'm not alone. The attempt to cover up the complicity of the UK media's role in Jason Arday's death may be its sickest move yet. broligarchy.substack.com/p/the-jason-...

The British press: Lazy, twisted, bottom-dwelling scumbags. Thank you for honouring Jason Arday's memory Emma. 🙏🏼
One of the first "outrageous" claims I saw as Jason Arday's media hounding unfolded was that he ran 30 marathons in 35 days! Wow! What a thing to claim! And the newspapers all suggested there was no evidence he actually did it. Well, they clearly didn't look very hard 🙄 🧵 1/26
Was privileged to read an advance copy. Does for anthrozoology what Dara O'Briain did for physics. It reads like Prof. Alice Roberts doing stand-up, with beautiful illustrations. Informative, witty, and explains why we love these daft buggers, and why insurance is so important. Buy it.
Read an extract here thewolfthatchewsrocks.com/introduction... Or don't. I'm not your mum. Make your own bloody mind up, Gladys.
One of the things I hate the most about tariffs is that we knew they were illegal, and when the court finally decided they were illegal, they forced Trump to refund the tariffs. But the refunds went to the corporations, and not the people the corporations raised prices on. What a scam.
This is remarkable. Marco Rubio stated, "Iranians are thieves. They cannot impose tolls on the Strait of Hormuz." In response, Abbas Araghchi remarked, "Consider the speaker. Approximately half of Venezuela's oil production is now directed to the United States. Who is truly the thief?"
I expect there will now be hundreds of articles written over the course of a few days about Cofnas, correct? That’s how we do things now, no?
Trump's authoritarianism and corruption is so baked-in that his discarding and picking judges to suit his in-court interests barely raises an eyebrow in the MSM. It's so outrageous, you're almost left feeling what's the point in expressing any outrage? It's a done deal. youtu.be/UHlYbix5PQU?...

The Telegraph has deleted, without fanfare, the word ‘living’ from the headline of Stephen Daisley's article on Professor Arday. Today, it just reads “Jason Arday is proof that you reap what you sow.”
This is not misinformation. That's what I normally cover - something out of context, an opinion quoted as fact, or a deliberate misinterpretation... This is none of those. This is full-on disinformation. Because that is NOT from the Express. It is entirely fake😱 🧵 1/10
The wife of Defense/War Secretary Pete Hegseth, the former Fox News producer Jennifer Hegseth, attended sensitive, high level international meetings without a security clearance. She was also included in the Signal chat where her husband shared plans for US strikes in Yemen.

After an 18-year career at Fox News, she is now her husband’s most influential adviser and de facto producer, shaping the job as no Pentagon spouse has before.

Tonight BBC radio 4 ran an hour-long advert for “suicidal empathy” (the idea and book) on the Moral Maze, describing its author simply as a Canadian professor, without mentioning his enthusiasm for Great Replacement ideology nor calls for civil war in the UK. That does not seem ok.
Turned on the radio this morning and today’s headline news was Reform’s plan to cut £50billion from welfare spending, quoting Reform’s claim that the current system is “suicidal empathy”. The BBC is again calmly reporting fascist ideas as if they mainstream.
I just knew we'd get this bollocks. Farage - like the Telegraph- doesn't want progress or anything to improve he just wants Britain to sit in a miserable slump in which he can holler constantly about "migrants" and drink pints in slow motion videos with people who pine for WW2.
Capitulating to the felon UK ‘open to discussing’ digital services tax (DST) with Trump govt. Trump threatened 100% tariffs on countries taxing US corporations. Govt collects £1bn DST on profits made in the UK, enough to provide free school meals for all primary pupils. Taking back control?

Jamieson Greer said Donald Trump’s threat to slap 100% tariffs on European countries with digital services taxes is “not a bluff.”

Nigel Farage can manage to convince people to vote for him. He is just no good at standing up for them when they do.
Matt Frei, "The day after President Trump's envoy Jared Kushner - who is also his son in law - ended up with an inconclusive trip to secure peace in Gaza" "6 people were killed in a strike on a cafe in a port in Gaza. 14 others were wounded by two missiles fired at the Harbour in western Gaza city"
“Reform will end ‘something for nothing’ Britain.” - Nigel Farage. He receives £98,599 a year as an MP, yet for more than three months this year he didn't cast a single parliamentary vote or make a single written contribution or speech in Parliament either. But yes, let’s shout at poor people

So, what do we think? Does Bibi have kompromat on Trump? Why is it Golfcart Mugabe is so willing to set fire to other geopolitical relationships (UK, EU, Canada) while Israel doesn’t just *survive* but has him doing whatever is in Benji’s best interests? And often to the detriment of the U.S.?
In 1987 the poet Benjamin Zephaniah was considered for a visiting fellowship at Cambridge. Here's how Rupert Murdoch's Sun newspaper approached that particular story.
