This is a gruesomely long post, but I was watching @quelaag.bsky.social ’s stream this evening, and it was good to see I’m not alone in trying to articulate a very particular flavour of artistic crisis I’ve observed in a lot of my artist friends, and felt in my own forlorn process:

Please god go read this. Now. Frank Lantz managed to put into words some very muddled feelings I’ve had for a while, and ended up with a vision of hard-earned, tentative optimism that he believes, as I do, might just change the world for the better.

british culture is funny cause the BBC et al insist on homegrown art and culture because they want "british classics" and then they don't fund any and remake harry potter again for the millionth time
