I'm a huge people pleaser. I learned early that I was safe as long as I was useful. The adults in my life harmed or neglected me by default, the kids did too. But when I was useful, I was wanted and I was treated well. Now I find myself only knowing how to make or keep friends by being useful.

I use a DNS server that blocks trackers and ad networks (I pay for sites that deserve money, I just can't stand the disgusting ad tactics). Because of this, sites like Twitch flag me as a bot or nefarious user (even though I pay for both subscriptions and Turbo) and tbh I'm pretty tired of it.
It’s lovely seeing fans around the world enjoying US culture. But they haven’t been lied to. Like all countries, fun things exist alongside horrible things. The true lesson is that the US is a far better place when it is engaged with the world, not when it shuts itself away.
