'You'll choke too' - an aerial embroidery landscape inspired by all the wildfires happening right now... I'm upset every time I smell smoke outside and somehow we have people starting them maliciously too! But we all breathe the same air so they'll choke too (1/2 - see thread for close-ups)

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn landscape from above. It shows a forest on the right, a line of fire and charred ground with smoke on the left. The smoke is felted wool.

i listened to the Portal 2 OST every day on the bus / walk to and from school. looking back, i'd thought 'aw bless, what a nerd' which remains true, but i'm listening to it right now and goodness GRACIOUS, it's a good soundtrack. the opening of the first track 'Science Is Fun' is OBSCENELY yummy

"why does the UK change leaders so often?" there are diminishing returns wrt how long each vessel can house thatcher's spirit. by the end of the century we'll be getting through 1000 prime ministers a day

okay, so: i've been fruitlessly searching for an answer to my 'i want a tattoo of a meaningful moth' question for weeks just now, on my way back from the café, i found what i think is a Buff Ermine moth (deceased 🥲) slap bang in the middle of my path, like someone had PLACED it there

anyone know any streamers who do co-working / study streams? looking into body-doubling for my poorly constructed brain they don't have to have big followings! if anything i'd prefer a smaller stream vibe. ideally streaming during UK working hours 🙏

i'm a serial over-waterer. i've killed 'unkillable' plants through loving them too much however, i recently switched all my plants to terracotta pots, and now they LOVE me! 💚 the porous terracotta deals with all the extra water and i'm finally feeling hopeful for my jungle-house future...

at a previous job, the office had a room where an entire wall was covered with whiteboard surface. it was the BEST i miss it a lot when i'm going production sicko mode. there's nothing quite like having an infinite field of physical space to draw a never-ending flowchart

i'm doing research on moth superstition and iconography in the British isles online resources are limited and poorly sourced, so i went to the folklore section at the library and even THEN there was a lack of in-depth information why isn't anyone as interested in moth history as me
