The Wehrmacht covered up the execution of Soviet prisoners of war who fell into “undesirable” groups that were targeted by the Gestapo (political commissars, Jews, etc.) by “releasing” them from captivity so that their deaths didn’t have to be reported by the Prisoner of War Administration.

Somewhat tangential but for a good while that's been an issue for us at @askhistorians.bsky.social – not so much people actively trying to pass off LLM text as original, but trying to figure out if something was made by an LLM or if the person is just a very generic and formulaic writer.
