An Obama scandal would be like “Obama sympathizes with murdered boy’s family” A Trump scandal is like: Trump launches crypto scam funnels billions to Russia who helps Iran kill Americans in War Trump started for no reason driving gas prices into stratosphere

i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

The “something” in question was the workers themselves deciding by 1966 that they no longer wanted New Dealer welfare capitalism if it meant black Americans would benefit from it while anti-war protesters were free to burn the flag

Something happened in the 70's that crystallized politics (and many other topics) into a new set of assumptions and priors. It gave rise to Reaganism and completely crushed New Deal Socialism; Dems that eventually reemerged were and still are centrists scared of their own shadows.

Was having a conversation with my wife a couple days ago about how, if the Republican Party could stop being so fucking racist, it could appeal to socially and fiscally conservative individuals across race. But that’s a bit like saying if an orange was an apple it would make a great pie.

the common man can only dimly comprehend the possibility of a more exalted restaurant than the cheesecake factory. why, i can imagine your average laborer, stained with grease, would tear up as he beheld the interior for the first time, saying "finally, a venue fine enough for my daughter's wedding"

99.9% of the U.S. would consider The Cheesecake Factory to be high class dining. Only an elitist like Barack Obama would invoke the Factory— home of delicious cuisine— to ridicule someone.
