"Enterprise. Spock here." Mostly #TOSSatNight and #TASSatNight. Not exactly an RP account, either.
The Vulcan Science Academy has postulated the possibility of Paradox Bagels but has dismissed their existence.
Everything bagel implies the existence of nothing bagels. Antimatter bagels. Bagels of the void.
"...historical records of the Banana Wars of 2026-2028, old Earth calendar, are somewhat sparse, but point to a costly war in terms of infrastructure and human toll...."
I hope this leads to a weeks long Bluesky war about best bananas!
Congratulations @abdulelsayed.bsky.social! Outspent 11 to 1, Abdul proved that people-powered campaigns can still beat big money. Michiganders chose hope over fear, and a future rooted in dignity, justice, and opportunity.

Even if you set aside all the plagiarism and environmental damage, it isn't worth using because it sucks ass. The only things it might be useful for are very entry level. And if you're using it for that you have no business using it at all because you won't be able to tell when it's full of shit.
"Computers make excellent and efficient servants, but I have no wish to serve under them. Captain, a starship also runs on loyalty to one man, and nothing can replace it or him." -- Star Trek, "The Ultimate Computer" (s2:ep24) // for the record, I don't use it in the first place.

This is so heartwarming and satisfying. A retired county caseworker from upstate New York here; I would hear stories daily of how bad landlords would cause suffering. And how people would feel powerless to end that suffering. Things start getting better when we really listen to their stories.
Republicans held a hearing on Medicaid fraud today, so I asked a top health expert: what bill delivered the largest cuts to Medicaid in American history? Yep. Trump's Big Ugly Bill. Seems to me like the biggest Medicaid theft actually happened last year in Congress.
Fantastic news, but we still have a long way to go to not only reduce co2 output, but clean up what's already there.
Don't look now, but the world has now installed 3TW of solar. Took 10 years to get from 100GW to 1TW. Less than 3 years to get to 2TW. Less than 2 years to get to 3TW. Analysts expect *9TW* by 2036.

The next phase of the boom may reveal a shift in who is gaining access to the technology.

Getting corporate PAC money out of politics is electable. Universal childcare is electable. Universal school meals is electable. Medicare for All is electable. Moratorium on data centers is electable. Francesca Hong IS electable.
Shopping local is always a sensible approach, and good for small businesses. Also, eating lettuce and salad is not required to get sufficient vegetable in consumption. A lot of cultures prepare vegetables differently, and with just as much nutrition.
"Rather than avoiding fresh produce, adopting a few sensible food safety practices can help you significantly reduce your risk of getting sick while continuing to enjoy the many health benefits and flavor perks of salads and fresh veggies," writes Lisa Cuchara. https://to.pbs.org/3S0DoDC

After Anthropic and OpenAI both admitted to their AI models hacking other companies, @lorenzofb.bsky.social and I wanted to find out: Who is legally to blame when an autonomous AI agent hacks something? Lawyers say it's really complicated! Bypass for ad-blockers: web.archive.org/web/20260803...
It is genuinely amazing how long these rovers last given the harsh conditions.
NASA's Curiosity rover recently took close-ups of its broken wheels after nearly 14 years on Mars 😢 The rover has driven over 20 miles across the Red Planet since landing in 2012
