I think my main takeaway from Hank Green using AI shit aside from plagiarism is that it's a horrifically shameful abdication of responsibility as a science communicator. You have an obligation to a standard of ethics and veracity in a position like his and I don't think that's guaranteed w AI use.

Was having a good read on this and then realized with horror that the MCU is pulling an Armageddon 2001. They had a plan, it changed, and instead of calmly fixing things, they’ve gone and made decisions that they’ll spend the next 20 years trying to correct.

Most people think the concept of age verification and protecting kids online is common sense. So we must rebrand it to reveal its true purpose, which is something they will fear.
