I'm 21 She/Her I am a bunny on Resonite I mainly make content for Resonite and I love flux and I like having a good time with my friends🐝 Trans rights are fucking human rights and if you think otherwise you can block me and get the hell out of my life

Some of y'all pro-AI people would not be such a big fan of it if you were living near an AI data center that was running 24/7. You would not be able to hear silence ever again. Imagine sleeping like that?.

I've had extremely rough couple of days. It's felt like everyone is against me, even some people I normally looked for support and stability. Today has been in particular very bad. Then @glitchfur.net took me out for ice cream. He's best boyfriend I could've wished for 💛

Sam Altman said people are just gonna have to die in order to implement AI. In the very same week, Anthropic claimed it’s a human rights violation to be mean to the computer. These people need to be held accountable. They think lines of code are a person with rights but living people are debris.

Over the past year, Anthropic has repeatedly flirted with the idea that its AI models could be conscious in some way. In February, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said on a podcast, “We don’t know if the models are conscious.”

One of the most frazzling things to me is when people expect you to achieve goals that are near impossible, either explicitly or implicitly. It's like being setup for failure and then judged for failing - from the beginning I know it's impossible to avoid, yet I'll still try.

resonite is hands-down the coolest shit that's ever happened to computers as an artistic medium & i'm tired of pretending it isn't every complaint about it boils down to "some messy fallible geniuses plus a passionate weirdo community are tryna make the computer future we've all been waiting for"

So the question is, if neither side is willing to compromise, what's the point of discussion anyway? The team needs to draw a line and stick to it. They can decide that by listening to feedback, but I don't think there's a solution that doesn't involve people getting upset on either side.

seeing influential people in our community begin to approach AI wit the vibe of centrist politics makes me feel so unsure about things. people promotin AI fence sit, touting progressive politics until it comes to NOT supporting the thing fucking us.

The devs need to understand that no matter their own view on AI. If the user base doesn't want it, then it needs to go. Or give us the tools to filter it and be done with it. If people are made fun of or dogpile because of it... Sucks to be them.
