The NIH just released a proposal that will apparently hide peer reviewers’ impact scores and percentiles from the research team, their institution, and NIH program officers. All the better to obscure how funding decisions will be made primarily via political review, I’m guessing.

Oof. I appreciate the advance notice and the many years of support for open science. This is really tough. I'm interested in knowing what alternatives people are likely to use, if you have favorites.

The NYU department of psychology is also reinstating the GRE as a requirement for PHD admissions. I heard Yale and Harvard are as well. Now Penn too. If you are applying to psych PHD programs this year be sure to take the exam.
