This is a fantastic and rare (!) example of authors of a published paper and the author of a comment on that paper working together to fix the scientific record. Kudos to all involved. This is not easy, even with good faith all around. @droodman.bsky.social @i4replication.bsky.social #EconSky

🚨 CORRIGENDUM ALERT 🚨 A decade after Star Wars: The Empirics Strike Back was published in AEJ: Applied, we've just published an official corrigendum with the AEA. This is a love story. 🧵

Lots of questions about AI in the editorial process these days. Thank you, Ray, for sharing the reviewer guidance. Bottomline, you can use AI tools, but we are looking for your judgment, not that of AI. We appreciate it if you let us know if/how you used AI.

During a recent seminar visit, a number of people asked about use of AI in the refereeing process. Every AEA journal includes the following in the email you get after agreeing to do a review. If you have any doubts about what constitutes appropriate use, please ask!

Congratulations to newly appointed AER Board Members (starting in Jan ‘26): Christiane Baumeister, Ruixue Jia, Michaela Pagel, Evan Sadler, Laura Wherry (@laurawherryr.bsky.social), and Sevgi Yuksel @AEAjournals #EconSky

Congratulations to newly appointed AER Board Members (starting in July ‘25): Max Croce, Garance Genicot (@ggenicot.bsky.social), Yusufcan Masatlioglu, Isabelle Mejean, Moses Shayo, Johannes Stroebel, and Christoph Trebesch @AEAjournals #EconSky

And who said filling out surveys never got you anything? Your wish is our command. Write to the AEA social media committee to let us know institutions or important econosphere folks missing here and we'll do our best! social_media_committee@aeapubs.org
