Made the mistake of looking at comments on TV news sites out of Corpus Christi…and we are living in Idiocracy. Overwhelming number complaining of the river flood coverage and claiming it is being overhyped. This flood event will fill their water supply lake…and they are complaining.

I've watched my boss let construction groups have it for letting too much topsoil get washed into the storm drains. So this is an order of magnitude worse, and here that company would likely be DOA for this screwup. But this isn't like... the data center getting the sirens turned off on purpose.
The construction company accidentally cut the line. This is still incredibly bad. If you're a construction company and you fuck up life saving infrastructure, your permits should be getting re-evaluated. But the framing of this article is bullshit.
