for my follow-newbies: im upfromsumdirt, a poet, visual artist, & graphic designer residing in lexington, ky. i don't submit often but my poems have appeared in a variety of anthologies & journals. my art is mostly limited to bookcover design, but ive shown in galleries & exhibitions. my chirrens:

This is not going to go away. It is not fringe. It is not even really all that radical. It's much closer to the facts than the mind numbing pablum about two states that every Democrat over the age of 900 uses to avoid saying anything of substance.

In other Michigan news, the state looks set to elect it's first transgender lawmaker. Joanna Whaley won her Democratic primary and will compete in November for a state house seat, beating a primary opponent who tried and failed to disqualify her for not running under her deadname
