Yeah, it's bad. My mom has been reaching out to our family out in St. Catharines (it's where I grew up) and my cousin who lives in an upstairs unit of a house turned rental, but the tenants who live downstairs got properly flooded. And I can only imagine "flooded basement rental" is a common story.

I'm in St. Catharines for the week and all anyone is talking about is the flooding. The consequences of unchecked greenhouse gas emissions everywhere this summer. Floods and fires and heatwaves. It's horrifying that as a country we're going backwards on climate pledges www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

I lost a cool icey shotgun in Quasimorph that I managed to bring back to my ship once, cause I opened a door into a pile of enemies and did not retreat to cover. I should also try and manufacture some ranged explosives. My best runs usually include proximity mines.

Why bother with any redtape or regulatory changes at all regarding forest clearing when Doug Ford, Mike Harris jr and Jill Dunlop just let them burn anyway. On a serious note, "unauthorized occupation of public lands" is an issue they want to address. Hmmm. Fuck them?

Sometimes I dwell on the idea that the more our environments start burning, more and more of that will be human made and the smoke will very likely be extremely toxic and accumulate in soil in ways we cannot really comprehend quite yet. I also think of the Seven Days of Fire in Nausicaa.

I think the fact that European countries need to blow up parts of their river beds in order to provide more water to cool their nuclear plants, is a good example of why we should not be building more nuclear plants. You know, among many other examples. Reduce energy usage + renewables.

I once told Tactical Potato, some Warframe streamer who is older and was talking about old man bladder issues and someone mentioned diapers I said "diapers are based" and he read out on stream "EXtraDonut says diapers are based" and I think about that moment a lot to this day lmao

Since Gaza the coverage by Canadian Press has gone from one-sided pro Israel to outright propaganda to actively fanning disinformation and fear. These headlines have dangerous geopolitical implications with Trump's open threat against Canada. But the @thestar.com helps spread the BS.

Reminder, fellow Canadians The CFIA has not banned the poop lettuce from entering into Canada. This was news in mid-July and it is still the case. I hate how the Carney government basically just does what the US wants. The FDA ignores cyclospora, so to does the CFIA. Wow.

Gonna be real A large part of why I want to show my art at galleries and sell originals is I want to donate a chunk of that. Fuck tax breaks or whatever if I actually made a lot, I'll pay tax too. I want to genuinely help and I feel useless not being able to drive or barely having energy.
