I started learning English in 3rd grade. Was in ESL classes for two years. In 6th grade, my homeroom teacher gave me the first book in the Redwall series. I had never read anything longer than a Goosebumps or The Boxcar Children by that point, so I was doubtful I could read something so dense...

The idea that a book could be considered inapprop for kids because it's "too difficult" doesn't sit well with me. Let 'em try. If it's too hard, they'll put it down. But give them a chance to rise to the challenge.

I'm back! Happy to have finally put a big deadline behind us. Up next: revising a TV series pitch that's been woefully neglected. I also *should* finish the horror short story I started... but a new horror idea has taken hold of me and I fear I must respond to its call...

and no, none of what is going on right now leads to “better” shows - why? BECAUSE WRITERS/DIRECTORS/CREATIVES DON’T GET ENOUGH OPPORTUNITIES TO GET BETTER AT THEIR CRAFT AND CAN’T EARN ENOUGH TO STAY IN IT FOR LONG ENOUGH TO GAIN MASTERY. (10/14)
