In short, there are valuable lessons we can learn about drones & interceptors & magazine depth & mine-sweepers, etc. But the key lesson is: no amount of tactical excellence can salvage strategic incompetence. Who lost the Iran War? The American voter did, that damn fool. And he ought to feel it.

It's ugly and rotten-hearted to speak ill of the dead if they were a powerful politician who pushed constantly for war and misery. It's perfectly fine to speak ill of the dead if they were some nobody immigrant who was near a cop.
How is it the Democratic Party's fault when the anti-establishment candidate runs a successful insurgent campaign?
